Kitchen Cabinet Arrangement

Upper cabinets to the left in the direction of the dining room should hold clean dishes, and drawers in cabinets below should hold table silver and clean dish towels. Upper cabinets to the right may hold “kitchen dishes” or food supplies, if the mixing center adjoins the sink center to the right. Under the sink. Hidden by ventilated doors, is space for supplies used at the sink, like soap, cleaning powder and dish drainer.

The doors may hold racks for wet dish towels or a small covered garbage container with a wall rack attachment. A heat unit under the sink to dry towels is also helpful.

The stove center should be adjacent to the sink center, near the mixing center, and the convenient to the dining room or dining area of the kitchen. If possible, there’s should be counters on either side of the stove finished with heat-proof surfaces for placing hot dishes.
