Instead of going for a complete redesign, easy enough to change the look of your bedroom by concentrating on one or two major features, or by going for some quick decorative fixes.
Three major options
Floor: Since flooring is crucial, a new-look floor will go a long way to rejuvenating the room. To upgrade existing floorboards, sand, fill, and finish them appropriately; or if they can't be satisfactorilv repaired, you might paint a broad border around the perimeter and cover the rest of the floor with a large rug. If this process is too laborious, carpeting may be preferable.
Window: If you have only had blinds or shades before, adding curtains or draperies will change the visual emphasis of the bedroom. Professionally made draperies add substance drama.
Bed: Expense, rather than time and effort, will get you a beautiful new bed in a style that could suggest a new decorative direction for you to follow.
Five Quick Fixes
Walls: Color refreshes the decorative emphasis, and paint is the easiest and cheapest wat to achieve this. Alternatively, change the look from solid-colored to patterned with wallpaper; or a fresh and opulent look, line the entire wall behind the bed with a fabric such as felt or damask.
Ceiling: Painting the ceiling a contrasting color will change the room’s visual dynamic.
Window: Replace a dated window treatment with a simple modern blind, shade shutters, or sheer curtain. If you have treasured curtains or draperies, give them new life with a broad fabric border.
Bed: New bed dressing will immediately refresh your bedroom look. Change the color and texture by using contrasting fabrics while keeping in touch with the room’s overall style. Replace a tired headboard with panels or materials, or simply hang a large painting over the bed.
Doors and drawers: Repaint storage units and modernize them with new door handles for both a visual and a tactile makeover.
